Shock changes & key results - Wrexham's seismic week

In a 139-word statement issued by Mac and Reynolds announcing Williamson's exit, the Hollywood pair wrote: "We remain focused on our most important task: to make the Wrexham community proud."

The word community was twice used in the brief statement. Plenty have made their own interpretations of the words chosen.

The announcement undoubtedly came out of the blue, with many staff on the ground in Wrexham only being made aware of the news shortly before the club's official announcement.

Parkinson himself was only informed on Friday morning prior to his pre-Wolves press conference, held at the club's Colliers Park training ground in the afternoon.
