Scots women lose before men's side take on Germany

Scotland women sustained their first defeat at the European Curling Championships in Ostrava in the Czech Republic.
Sweden triumphed 10-2, having taken control over the first four ends with a 4-1 advantage. Fay Henderson's rink showed a bit of resistance with a single at the fifth but the Swedes then picked up a double and a four over the next two ends.
The Scots had opened with a 12-3 victory over Denmark followed by a 7-4 defeat of Turkey.
Scotland men meet Germany in their third match later on Thursday (13:00 GMT), having also won their opening two round-robin ties, Grant Hardie's rink beating the Netherlands 8-4 and Belgium 9-2.
