England await Guehi scan results after injury concern

Manchester City defender Marc Guehi will undergo a scan on a hip complaint on Sunday to determine whether he can report for England duty this week.

The 26-year-old was substituted at half-time of City's loss at Nottingham Forest on Saturday and manager Enzo Maresca revealed afterwards the centre-back had requested to come off because of the injury.

Maresca did not specify Guehi's issue, but it was understood he has been troubled by the hip problem in recent weeks.

The fact he requested to be substituted against Forest has placed doubt over whether he will be available for international duty as England prepare for Uefa Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain.
